IF YOU GO INTO GERMANY ILLEGALLY, YOU GET A HEFTY FINE, WORK IT OFF OR PAY IT OFF, THEN DEPORTED........

IF YOU GO INTO ENGLAND ILLEGALLY, YOU ARE IMMEDIATELY JAILED AND DEPORTED........

IF YOU CROSS THE IRANIAN BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU ARE DETAINED INDEFINITELY....

BUT, IF YOU CROSS THE U.S... BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU GET:

1. A DRIVERS LICENSE
2. A SOCIAL SECURITY CARD
3. WELFARE
4. FOOD STAMPS AND
5. FREE HEALTH CARE?

umm first the states decided if illegals can get a drivers license or not.

It is accurate to a degree though isn't it ?
I don't think you can get a SS# as an illegal..................yet.
But you do get social services which includes health care and WIC and in-state tuition rates although you are right, not every state gives a driver's lic to illegals....or should I say "workers with less than full documentation".

Jason, I understand your point. But some of us are against illegal immigration (And that includes Canadians, or anyone else immigrating illegally) from a more pragmatic reason. I have nothing at all against Mexicans, I already speak basic Spanish, and I'm learning more, one of my best friends is not only Mexican, but an illegal immigrant. I am against illegal immigration because its illegal.

If we say its okay to be an illegal immigrant just because that's how we feel, then it should be okay to shoot someone if its how we feel. We cannot let things slide just because. If people don't like our immigration laws (And believe me they need work) then they can vote and write letters and raise funds and get signatures, and all the other things that make a democracy a democracy. We have a way to change unfair laws, but as long as the laws are still in place we can't use our disagreeing with them as an excuse to disobey them.
