Geocities is dead

You can find a link almost every where on tech websites.

Anyone born before the 90's new about Geocities. I had my first website on there. I learned HTML and Javascript there, learned how to make horrendous tables and post poorily made animated gifs.

Now all of our hard work is gone, unless the third party people actually got most of the websites.

I think I started and ran at least 3 geocities sites through high school. I thought I was the shit with the shitty java based web design app they had. It where I started my graphic design roots! LOL

I had the exact same learning experiences as you. It brings back good memories and is quite sade to see them go...

Geo cities... They were once big time... o so long ago.
Back when i had to use AOL, and stupid servers busy as hell all the time.
The slow "dial-up" era of my internet youth.

from what i remember of Geocities (didn't have net til probably 2000 iirc) 90% of em looked like shit.

Most of Geo-cities sites were shit/ or had errors loading them all the time.

yes! the good ol geocities days! i have my bands website there from like 02 :P and then another website i made. good stuff. i had to save all the info lol.

geocities isn't dead yet if any of you want to retrieve information!
