Group projects.
So here you are, your group project is due the next day oh and you have a test that you have yet to study for. Each group member is responsible for 2 to 3 pages of legit work. You're responsible for arranging it and turning it all in as one piece. So you spend hours on end trying to piece work together. You come up short, you have 5 pages you're supposed to have at least 12. To make matters worse you check some people's work and discover its copied word to word.
Now what? nights approaching, you haven't studied, it's not fair, what do you do?
You stick it out an do it yourself? do you tell your professor? or do you say fuck it and turn it in as is knowing the prof will say something like " you know a while ago that this was coming up."

As much as it sucks, I'd say fuck it, do all the work myself and let my professor know that I did most of the work.
I am the type of person though who hates not doing my work, I almost always do it, no matter how long it takes. Even if it sucks, at least I know I tried despite the lack of help from my group mates.

Re: Group projects.
If there is plagiarism in the document then regardless of what you do, if it involves turning that part of the assignment in then you should tell the professor. I do not know what the rules are at your school, but plagiarism can result in course failure and a big stain on your academic record. If it's a group project and it's not your part you'd probably be fine even if they found it, but why risk it if it's someone else being a lazy d-bag?

Re: Group projects.
Take the hit, do the work, take the credit, and identify who failed/cheated in your group in class in front of them. They fucked you, you fuck them.
BTW - This is what the workforce is like 50% of the time for the rest of your life, so this is excellent practice for the next chapter of your life.
(Eventually you evolve to check things prior to the night before. It takes incidents like this to push the evolution though)
Enjoy. 8)
