If they beat him for no reason other than him most probably being the terrorist mastermind after he had been captured well that is retarded, if he was attempting to get away or cause trouble well not an issue.

Hopefully the truth will come out one way or another, either way will be for the better.

If it turns out they had good reason they will be exhonorated and the world will say at least the US looked into it.
