I dunno, In Flames started going downhill after Colony, and last I heard from them, they just sounded like so much more of the normal emo-whiny "metal" you hear on the radio.

Can't believe we forgot to mention them. Rammstein. Pyrotechnics don't get better than that.

Someone did mention them. I wouldn't call them metal though, they're more industrial/rock. A good band though.

Websense blocks Youtube and similar sites here at work, and I generally don't use the forums at home unless it's business.

As far as classification, that's probably correct, but I've heard people describe shit like Three Days Grace as metal, so apparently the "metal" genre is getting pretty lenient.
