Thread: More troops for Afghanistan?

So...........

I want to hear what the ultra right has to say about this. Mostly because to them Obama makes crap choices and is the anti-christ.

Y'all agree with the troop surge?

I really want to hear what Hannity has to say this afternoon.



Personally I agree with the choice to send more troops to get the job done and come home. There should not be a price to protect the troops we already have over there needing more assistance.

We are talking about Afghanistan.

As far as Iraq there has been large numbers of troops coming home or being sent over to Afghanistan.

I hadn't heard that this was official. I know he has a speech today.

If the generals and commanders on the ground tell him they need 40-60,000 troops and he sends 15-20,000 then I don't see the point, personally. If you are going to send half of what is needed then dont send any and lets just get out of there. If he sends what the commanders ask for, then I'm all in favor of it. Basically, dont do it half-way and create another Vietnam generation.

What does it matter what the hard right thinks or what the hard left thinks. To me, it has nothing to do with what we are trying to accomplish in Afghanistan. I think most folks want the job to "get done."

Hey, if it works, great - if it doesn't, I like every other American, reserve the right to second guess and Monday-morning Quarterback it - after all, 60% of America thinks they could have done better than Bush, haha.

I hope it does work.
