This kid was on the wrong track already, I am sure now he will one day end up in the adult penal system.

The cop should have taken better charge of the situation.

I dont have kids yet but if the thought of one of my younger cousins or even my brother being tazed is just sick.

Trust me I'd be the first to agree with you guys on excessive use of restraint, because I've seen it first hand. I'm just not willing to flame the cops right away and have some fucking brat be the reason why a cop(s) is out of the job and can't put food on the table for his family.

If he was in the wrong, hopefully the justice system

will prove so and make things right.

If a 10 year old came at me with a bat, I wouldn't need a taser. I wouldn't need to wrestle with him to gain control either. These kids aren't strong enough to get out of a grown mans hold.

lol, saw this on local news. I would rather be tased than jumped by a cop. tase=not hurt....jumped=soft tissue strains. the kid was not hurt...he will get over it.

Everyone's opinion would change real quick if they had an autistic child with a heart condition. I wouldn't gamble on whether using the taser would hurt the child or not, too risky, it's not hard to restrain a child without inflicting bodily harm.

They tried to restrain the kid and the officer was kicked in the nuts. So, it's not like they automatically said, "Oh look an unruly 10 y/o. Shoot it!"

I've had to restrain MANY kids before. I have training AND I am certified in restraining kids and dealing with matters like this.

You would be amazed at the strength of a very angry disgruntled 10 year old. He could of done some damage with a pipe.
