Meh. Yes, he had a good year, for a good team, but like the other candidates he had flaws. IMO best choice of a bad class. Colt should have won, but maybe I am biased.

i think it should have been either Gerhart or Suh, but Ingram was still great, just think Gerhart was the better RB, plus Gerhart did it at Stanford, which i highly doubt has the O-Line Bama does.

Suh looked pretty dominate though and it would of been great to see a defender win it.

I just wonder if the outcome would have been any different if the UT vs Nebraska game had gone better for McCoy. And yes, I was pulling for McCoy.

I think the only edge Ingram had over Gerhart, was that Ingram played against SEC defenses (which I know you couldn't care less about :P ). If Gerhart had gotten it, I wouldn't argue against it. He is a great back..old school power runner. Hell, I wouldn't have argued if (en-domicon) Su had won it either.

If McCoy went out and blasted the Husker defense, then his chances of winning would have gone way up. It hurt him, especially because the only defensive player in New York for the award was the guy who caused most of the bad game, thus in my mind taking away votes from McCoy and possibly putting him behind Su.

well if the voted based on the defenses then they need to do a bit of research (instead of blind voting) because it could be argued that Gerhart faced the tougher Run Ds:

    http://content.usatoday.com/sportsda...ushing-defense

    Ingram
    13th, 44th, 46th, 52nd, 55th, 58th, 63rd, 69th, 80th, 100th, 104th, 116th

    Gerhart
    18th, 22nd, 25th, 27th, 38th, 42nd, 60th, 67th, 82nd, 90th, 117th, 119th

Not saying Ingram wasn't great, because he was. Or that he doesn't deserve it, just think Gerhart was the better RB this year. (besides the voters have East Coast bias :P)

    Re: Ingram wins Heisman

If this was about leading your team to the fing national title then Colt McCoy should have won, if this was about the best player in the game is would have been Suh and if it was about the best offensive player is would have been Gerhart. I am biased since my little bro blocks for Toby, but still I think that Colt should have won it last year and this should have been between Geaheart and Suh. Mark Ingram wasn't even the best running back this year, he wasn't even the best running back on stage.
