You are attempting to connect it to business again...Primary cost's are simply that. In a business context some of them such as minimum wage are immutable. (and not a factor in the majority of industrial sectors) My view of the wage comes more from it as a available tool for controlling inflation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inflati...ling_inflation) than anything else. I sense you see it more as a social support program? If so, i have no issue with it there but as many would state their would be better means of unskilled labor wage/earning support. Although there is interesting reading abound on the subject...I really enjoy seeing the polar flips of opinions regarding its implementation which seem to vary by the year...and the weather.
So if it's a tool for controlling inflation, why does it not keep pace with inflation?
Trigger, you are not that stupid. It doesnt keep pace with inflation because the idiot politicians didnt write it that way. I say it should be. What say you?

How does a competitor gain knowledge of what projects you are or aren't bidding on? This info is not supposed to be made public knowledge.

Why is the bus in tex's quote slightly ahead of not only the one in your post, but the one in your sig? I think Tex is using some kind of short-bus hack, and should be watched.

And Trigger, just for arguments sake, why not raise the minimum wage to $20 an hour....or $30....or $100/hour?

**EDIT** Crap...it flipped to the next page......I was hoping to have the fastest bus.

I was asking someone to justify the minimum wage to begin with.

^^ Ok. I don't get it either. Minimum wage jobs are entry level, and not usually the types of jobs people have when trying to feed a family. When they raise the minimum wage,it only leads to job cuts, not greater prosperity.

So...Did TTP save the world again?

I say we all union up here!!! Bigdog doesnt pay us enough, i have no health care, no benifits, I put in 40 hours a week...and for what?

(this is just a joke, for any of you, who take this seriously, please, send a self addressed stamped envelope to my PM box, make sure you put a return name on it, and under where it says "address" make sure to put "My Ass" so I know where to shove that letter...)
