The Fratellis, Ocean Colour Scene (The Riverboat Song, Hundred Mile High City)

Make sure to find all the Arctic Monkeys you can, they are one of those bands that put things on B-sides that should have been on albums. The Brianstorm single is a great example of that.

Here's a thread I can get into...I've been a fan of punk for about 10 years now

Black Flag, The Queers, The Cramps, Sloppy Seconds, Dead Kennedys, Minor Threat, Screeching Weasel and the Misfits (old band only) are all good.

Glad to see others posted NOFX, Swingin Utters (love this band), the Germs, Flogging Molly, etc. All good suggestions. Lots of different punk styles in there too.

And if you're looking for something extreme or just plain unsettling, check out G.G. Allin. Not at work or in front of anyone you think respects you though haha.

in that case what your really looking for is not so much punk but more of indie rock.

The Strokes and Interpol are both releasing new CD's within the next 2 months, Cold War Kids, Vampire Weekend, The Kooks (mabye), Apartment, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Dirty Pretty Things (Libertines new band minus Doherty), Editors, Kaiser Chiefs (mabye), Klaxons, Nickel Eye, The Rewinds, The Sounds, The Stills, The Stone Roses(old old old but amazing).
