Thread: Were the vikings robbed? WTF?

Found this on yahoo!'s front page titled "Did Vikings Get Robbed in Championship?"

WTF game were they watching? Did we forget about the blown calls against the saints in the first half that kept 2 minnesota scoring drives alive? I mean really, sometimes I wonder if the media, country....shit anyone who isn't from here wants the Saints to lose.

Honestly, I could give a lesser fuck about these 2 teams...at all...but seriously, that last OT drive...the Vikings got robbed there. You honestly going to say that that ball was catchable? No measure or reply on the dive of 4th and 1 in overtime? Half the hits on Favre, that were not legal? Come on man!



But granted, Great job saints D forcing 5 turnovers...But dont say much for your "high flying offense" if you cant capitalize on those turnovers. So again, you are fucked in 2 weeks, enjoy it now.

The one hit they DIDN'T call, was one I would have flagged. The other two I felt were legit. I've never been a proponet of allowing pass interference if the ball is uncatchable, because now you have refs deciding on whether or not a players talents will allow him to make a play. The tight end got turned around and pushed by the defender and was a few feet from the ball in the air. Who am I as a referee to say he wouldn't have kept running and made a catch? Was it likely? I dunno, I only saw it in action, missed the replay.

Vikings got some bad calls and the saints got some bad calls. The vikes calls just happened at crucial points in the game, so it looked worse.

Regardless of officiating, you can't blame 6 turnovers on anyone but yourself.

Colts have a respectable defense, but the vikings have a better one. I don't expect as good a defensive performance from your colts. 31 points on Minnessota (one of the league's best defenses). Anyone would fear manning, but I would imagine Brees isn't much intimidated by the Indy D.

There were terrible calls all around. They're focusing on the ones in the end because those are what everyone remembers, and they were in the spotlight. Terrible calls all around. While I would like to sit and complain about the refs and how they screwed the Vikings...when you turn the ball over 6 times, theres only so much you can do. I just hope none of those refs are coaching the superbowl.

This is exactly what I've been telling people on facebook for the last half hour.

The 6 turnovers almost negates a few bad calls.
