I'm hoping they cancel work tomorrow. No snow days yet. In south jersey we're getting it pretty bad, although DC area is apparently even worse!

Well I live in DC so i'll keep you posted. The problem with snow here is that there is literally nowhere to go with it, we still have snow 2 feet deep on the sidewalks except for tiny walking paths. Let's dump another 1-2 feet on it and give me off school all week, thank you very much :9

    Pansy.
We've got 3 humvee ambulances up here in our Maryland county. You better believe any call I get tonight is getting one, even if only so I don't have to stand in the ER waiting for the dumb nurse to talk to me about the patient!

Boy I Really feel for you guys in the northeast ! I know some of you like this white stuff but I'm glad to be in the land of No Snow (at least nothing that will ever stick) ! I've seen snow in Florida twice since I moved here in 85. I don't miss the White Stuff AT ALL ! I don't miss the frozen door locks chipping ice off my windshield or shoveling out my car to get to work ! This week we will be chilly but the sun is bright now and not a cloud in the sky highs in the 50's So I'll be leatheringup and riding the Iron Horse to add the Global Warming so you guys can defrost ! :9

Woooooooooooohoooooo snow day!!! I slept in until 1030 AM and I feel great. DC has had 3, even Memphis got 1, and finally New Jersey jumps on the snow day bus! And the best part is that it didn't snow all that much yet and my car's fine without shoveling. Best of both worlds! Yeaaaaaah! :10 :10 :10 :10 :10 :10 :10 :10 :10 :10 :6 :6

Woohoo. No calls last night, and the roads were passable enough to come on home. Got home just as the winds were picking up for the blizzard warning we have today.

Umm yeah DC is getting freakin hammered as we speak. I can't really tell how much it is snowing because it is just incredibly windy right now. We are supposed to be getting 1-2 feet of snow today from what I've seen, throw in 30 mph winds with gusts up to 55 mph and you've got yourself a genuine blizzard warning.

Looking out my window right now I can't see to the end of the block. Looks like I'll be having this entire week off and just play CSS all day

Yeah, listening to WTOP on the way home today, apparently DC was having white-out conditions - they were saying people couldn't see past their hood, and the plows were stopping on the side of the road because they couldn't see. I was far enough north (Carroll / Howard / Baltimore counties for my ride) that the wind didn't pick up until I was almost home.
