grew up in a very old school family. Women inside work, men outside work. Patriarch at head of table and the eldest male across from him with. Each with their wives to their rights. Women serve the men etc. But the men are the ones responsible for the family's well being, honor and defending it.
voted not to slap her.
I support the double standard while it might not be "fair" it works very well for many people. I know it sounds sexist and it is but not everyone wants to be 100% equal. Do men want to do the dishes? no. Do the women want to do the shoveling of snow, heavy lifting and so forth outside? no

Re: Double Standard?
Never....
She asked for it,though.....she had no right to hit him,and if she hadn't,she wouldn't have been smacked herself. I just could never hit a girl....whether she asked for it or not.
Although,I did find it funny that she was actually bigger than him,and if allowed to,she probably would have kicked his ass.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-MIIIIIIIIIX
(Voted no slap...you don't hit a woman unless, I guess, you're in immediate danger of grave bodily harm. If a woman pulls a knife on me or something, all bets are off. That's gonna be one KTFO woman.)

Re: Double Standard?
I don't have a huge problem with it. I think there is a double standard. He should not have hit her, she should not have hit him. Them are both wrong.
She should have expected to get slapped back. You can't hit someone and expect them to just stand there and smile.
Had he step up the level of aggression (which it looked like he was about to do) then that would be a problem. I believe they restrained him because he started to ramp up his aggression and the crew did what was needed to keep it from going any further.

Re: Double Standard?
From reading the youtube comments, it sounds like the show is about guys getting insulted by women. So, he knew he would be insulted, he should have been prepared for a slap. Thus, I don't want to choose either of those options. I would vote no, but not because 'hitting women is always wrong'.
