Re: I believe in science...
I eat pretty much whatever I want, I just make sure to watch my calories. Other than, I don't do any of the other choices.
Just to put a perspective on science.... a lot of you fellow ttper's remind me of those "science believing folk" back in the 1400's where they swore on their mother's grave the earth was flat and that you would fall off if you sailed too far out to sea. According to their "scientists", you were overly ignorant if you thought otherwise.....and look how that turned out.

Re: I believe in science...
I'm sure almost everyone eats food thats bad for their body. The trick is, how often and to what degree. I am cutting down on my intake of crappy foods, but I still eat some.
I'm sure I am over 10lbs overweight too. I'm 6' 2" 197 ish pounds (and generally and gradually decreasing). Due to my smarter eating habits and increased activity, I am loosing weight.
Difference is, I know that they are bad, and WHY they are bad. The evidence shows that by indulging in TOO much has adverse effects. But as we all know, the trick, is moderation. There is a difference between KNOWING and acting to the contrary, (all the above in excess) as opposed to denying something where the vast balance of evidence says to the contrary (AIGW).Code:____ U ___ u _____ U _____ u __ __ ____ _ __ _ _ U _____ u U| _"\ u \/"_ \/|_ " _| \| ___"|/U|' \/ '|uU| _"\ u|"|/ / ___ | \ |"| \| ___"|/ \| |_) |/ | | | | | | | _|" \| |\/| |/\| |_) |/| ' / |_"_| <| \| |> | _|" | __/.-,_| |_| | /| |\ | |___ | | | | | __/U/| . \\u | | U| |\ |u | |___ |_| \_)-\___/ u |_|U |_____| |_| |_| |_| |_|\_\ U/| |\u |_| \_| |_____| ||>>_ \\ _// \\_ << >> <<,-,,-. ||>>_ ,-,>> \\,-.-,_|___|_,-.|| \\,-.<< >> (__)__) (__) (__) (__)(__) (__) (./ \.) Eating all that bullshit will add up the cals real quick and it basically defeats the whole purpose of living a healthy lifestyle.
Dont get me wrong and go off on some tangent stating that I hate junk food. Like I said 80/20 for me.

How's that for perspective on your "science believing folk"?

The point, since you all asked, is that while you claim you look at facts and logic to make your decision I call bullshit. You may know some facts, and you might even believe them, but if you based your decision on facts, as you claim not me, you would be saying none of the above.

Re: I believe in science...
I do look at facts and logic to make decisions, and sometimes I make bad decisions, sometimes I ignore the logic and facts I see. That's what being human is.
