133, and 139 are based on the timeframes I noted if you'd care to read the difference between them.

OK deathgod... I see you adding up every last inmate dead or alive. While courts have obviously found men on DR guilty to put them there, there is an appeal process that either puts them in the land of innocent, probably innocent or dead.

The percentage I find most useful, and relevant (11%) is based on the number of resolved instances of men on death row. They were either removed from DR in some form, or executed. In fact, I lowballed it with only those exonerated.

I don't think it appropriate to count cases that have yet to be resolved one way or another. Mind you, I can throw in a few more men who were executed before and sometimes after evidence against them was rendered worthless.

Your against the death penalty i get that and i can respect that. I however lean the other way. So your number fits your cause and mine fits mine. Both are rellevant numbers and im sure thay could be tweaked in either direction. I'm sure they didn't count number of death row inmates shanked in prison either.

Don't get me wrong i'm saying execute all death row inmates right off the bat. If they is a doubt let them appeal but if it's concrete fry that fucker right where he sits.

Your numbers aren't based on resolved cases, though... That's like doing cancer research on a group of 100, and not seeing what everyone dies of before coming up with cancer fatality numbers.

I dont see how you come to that conclusion. If they are on death row then they had a trial by their peers and were found guilty to the extent that maximum punishment was given. If they've been executed same applies but the sentence was follow out. So i have to disagree with your analogy.

    Fair enough.

The simplest I can say it is,

    dead/exonerated = conclusive
still on death row = inconclusive

By all means your allowed to have that view. As well as those that are aginst the death penalty all together.

maybe my question didn't post (As no-one answered):

    what does killing them do?

I still and will stand by that the death penalty is basically letting murderers get off easier then making them have to suffer in a shithole for 30-40+ years.

Our prison system is another shining example of government waste. Yes, I would choose my life over prison, but based on the massive amounts of people there I dont think it is the deterrant it was meant to be. I am all for no tv, no ac, no perks, no pleasure in prison.

Yes, because having a roof over your head, warm food every day and the more basic necessities like a gym and cable television is a real shithole.

I still say we should use them for more grunt work. They should have to work 8+ hour days of manual labor 5 or 6 days a week. Paint the bridges, pull weeds, plant trees, mow public parks... Make them have to really earn their shelter and food at or below minimum wage.

I say we build a modern day Roman Coliseum.

Just a joke. Notice the smiley.
