They decided to switch goalies when Brodeur shit the bed in the first American game. He didn't play bad, but when you have a guy like Luongo ready to play, you have to be sharp every game.

IMO the timing, synchronization, and cohesion on display throughout the Olympics doesn't even touch a mid tiered match in the day to day NHL.
