whats wrong with rooting on our country and some friendly jabbing for two weeks every 2 years?
Every 2 years? Do you live in the same world I do?

    Re: USA vs. Canada

There were Alot of Firsts on both sides.......... Canada won the Most Gold Medals for a host country. USA won the most medals. The first time the USA won Gold in 4 man bobsled since 1948. The first time Russia Didn't make it to the semi's in Hockey since who knows when .The first time USA won gold and silver in the Nordic Combined EVER. I Enjoyed the Games thoroughly........ it really doesn't matter to me that Canada won gold in hockey and the US won silver....... it was a Great Game ! The only thing that Really sucked was all the Rain for the Alpine events ! But all in all I thought that Canada did a great job hosting and Vancouver couldn't be More Picturesque ! :9

Canada won the most winter gold EVER with 14. Previous record was 13, so most for a host country is a given!

2nd on the great game. I'd gladly watch games that great every night regardless of who won. I do wish the weather on the slopes had been a bit better. That's the warmest February here in something like 100 years.

So now we're comparing countries? C'mon now. These are games after all. But Wikipedia has some interesting stats (not that they are accurate since it's Wikipedia after all).

    USA -
    • Total Winter Medals - 253
    • Number of Gold - 87

    Canada
    • Total Winter Medals - 145
    • Number of Gold - 52

Both achieved in the same number of olympics. Anyone wanna take a guess at the Summer Medals?

    Anyone?

I understand such typically rabid patriotic sentiment, which isn't exclusive just to the US of a part of A. You're the greatest, and an infallible nation, like many other nations. I agree so we can move on.

Canada. The best at being just north of the United States.
