Dutch developers have set out to prove a point about the safety of certain social networking practices in a very public way. A new website they have constructed - Please Rob Me - lists information about empty homes gathered from Twitter. The site scrutinizes users of Foursquare, which is based on a person's current location in the real world.

I'd never even heard of that whole "foursquare" thing, but it does sound pretty stupid indeed. I'm amused by the response.

Wow, that's a new angle for sure. Interesting and thought provoking.

Thankfully I don't tweet, nor have I heard of foursquare. Interesting stuff though.

I don't like having other people on their.. but yet feel obligated to be "friends" with them

Then don't friend them. I have had people sit in the friends request box for months until I can verify that I know them.

But I like this. I don't understand why people need to tell the whole world what they are doing. And if you have to read up on someone because your phone just pushed a sms or whatever telling you they did something, you have problems.

Like I've said before this world is turning exhibitionistic and voyeuristic.

Always stayed away from social networking. Atleast the whole myspace, facebook, etc...

Social networking is turning boys and men into un-romantic and passive pussies....
