I think im pretty set on the Rem 870 Express, not the home defense one but the other one.

BUT....as i said before, "I dont know shit about guns"

How easy is it to change barrels if the boys wanna go shoot clays?

Why would you need to change barrels, that one will do just fine as is. What am I missing that you see as the major difference between clay shooting and home defense shooting. Is it the spread you are worried about, if that is the case then you have control over that with the shells you choose to shoot.

Like I posted before, you dont even need tools to change barrels it is super easy. Buy the gun first and then see what barrels you want, a long one with an adjustable choke is needed for birds but a shorter one that isn't too short can do anything from buck to rabbits and all the other little ground critters, including types that walk on two legs and break in your house.

Buy a sling for it and several varieties of shot as well. Clays are fun if you know someone with a thrower.

A 12 gauge shotgun that shoots 3" shells is a pretty versatile shotgun, with the right shot you can go for many different types of bird from quail and dove to even duck and goose on an overcast day(unless you're good at calling them). Anything that's good enough for a bird will be plenty good enough for a human in your home.

    Good choice.

A 26" barrel would be ideal though 28" is more common. The 26 will let you swing faster for passing shots which is probably the most common type of shooting situation.

Changing barrels is quite easy. Pull the slide down as if ejecting a shell, unscrew the large cap at the end of the fore stock, pull the barrel out. Reverse to install new barrel.

I have a 12 station course if someone wants to come shoot here in Florida.
