when people pitch a fit

I just decided to make some oatmeal cookies and in the process of doing so added some nutmeg, which really helped to round out the cinnamon and raisin flavors. I didn't tell my dad until after he tried the cookie batter, and said he liked it. When he learned it had been changed, he threw a fit saying it was horrible all because I changed an old family recipe. I'd love to see what would happen if I used red wine instead of cooking sherry to make spaghetti sauce. Heaven forbid...
