Like this whole no smoking in bars thing. 2nd hand smoke is bullshit...you can get even worse shit just breathing the air in a metropolis city...sometimes i think people just complain about things...well..simply because they can....

Not taking a shower is legal too. Homeless people do it, and they can come into establishment smelling like their own urine. It doesn't change the fact that they smell. Honestly, I could care less if you get lung cancer and die... you did it to yourself. But don't come in smelling like shit. Be considerate.

I am sorry, but if you are emitting an odor and it is making me not want to finish my dinner... then it is a problem. I am glad smoking bans are becoming more popular. Let the smokers eat outside with the animals. And yes, that includes some of my family and closest friends... sorry!

That being said, some people mask it very well by drenching themselves with cologne, but the smoke smell always comes through.

It should only be insulting if it is true. Do you smoke? Do you realize that you have an odor? My Mom smoked until she died of cancer in 1995. I always hated the way she smelled. I have dated a few girls that smoked... disgusting.

It isn't personal, as it is a generalization. I am not targeting $3.98. I do not know him, but I can generalize him as a smoker... and all smokers in my experience have most of the same traits.

You can dodge my point all day long... smokers should be forced to eat outside if they want to smoke where they eat. It is common courtesy as it stinks. Let the non smokers eat inside. So before you go twisting my point with your "literalness", I will simply tip my hat to the folks making these smoking regulations, increasing the taxes on cigarettes, and trying to make a difference.
