It should only be insulting if it is true. Do you smoke? Do you realize that you have an odor? My Mom smoked until she died of cancer in 1995. I always hated the way she smelled. I have dated a few girls that smoked... disgusting.

It isn't personal, as it is a generalization. I am not targeting $3.98. I do not know him, but I can generalize him as a smoker... and all smokers in my experience have most of the same traits.

I am sorry if you get MAD at things you see on internet forums, take them personally, and the apparently cry yourself into the corner and start insulting others. You can call me ignorant all day long... but the fact is I KNOW that cigarettes smell bad, make people smell bad, make their cars and homes smell bad. I am not ignorant about that.

The asshole part... well, maybe. But I CAN generalize those that "don't give a fuck" that smoking is bad. I could care less what their opinion is on smoking and health. I am simply referring to the FACT that cigarette smoke has an odor and leaves an odor.

Making assumptions? I have never exspressed wether i like you or not. To be quite honest im indifferent to most people and have very view in a catagory of i dont like.

I do dislike the fact the someone would try to take a stance of they are better than anyone else. Opinions are one thing insults are completely different wether you are being passive about it or not. I much prefer the be a man type person and say what you say directly.

If you knew anything about me which you don't. Then you would know i dont get mad hardly ever. I have 0 use for being mad at anything it clouds judgement. As for the odor of smoking sure it's there and not the best one for sure but i can think of many that are worse. Such as the one that comes from a drunk, vomit, dog shit, the perfume section at the mall during xmas, and many more.

I am glad to see that you grew up enough to not smoke. Why not take it to the next level and give the respect that you would like to recieve from people regardless of what your or their opinions are. Your case can be stated very easily without trying to downgrade those that have made different choices than you have made.

At xmas time with 15 16 year olds spraying away yes. It becomes horrendous when there is that much in the air.

Even still, to say it's worse is just crazy.

Well odors are being discussed. Which is going to be subject to change from person to person and to me that is a horrible smell. I have trouble even breathing when i hit that spot and its always right there at the front. So i have no choice but to walk through it but once i get passed it cinnabon kicks in and that smells great.

first all, how long did you actually smoke? buy a pack to be cool? didn't even finish it would be my guess......


I'm 21 and I've been smoking casually for 4 years, mainly at work. I don't smell like smoke, cause I only smoke outside with a breeze (unless I'm in a bar), I also chew gum religiously, so my breath doesn't stink, and I brush my teeth regularly.

how do I know I don't smell like smoke? I've lived with my parents the entire time I've been smoking, a mother who has smoke allergies, and she has yet to catch on.



Now, I don't have any problem with people who don't like smoking...I've put mine out many times at the request of people around me....but you treat smokers as non-human...Saying smokers should eat outside with the dogs? seriously?? How the HELL is that called for? Why can't a simple "Smokers shouldn't smoke in restuarants around me and my family" suffice?

You are simply a person filled with hate. you'd rather sit on the sidelines and online and complain about smokers instead of simply asking them to move "Hey, I got a kid here, you mind takin your cigarette somewhere else?" I have not met a smoker in the WORLD who would say no, or use the type of language towards you that you seem to like using just because you're a non-smoker.

Now, you rant and rave like you're on some religious crusade, saving people from the evils of sin and smoke...You sound exactly like the people waving bibles in the air on the side of the road.


What have smokers done to you? And dont' give me the usual "polluting my lungs" cause honestly...how many times have you been in a restaurant, in the non-smoking section, and the smoke became unbearable? How many times have you been in public, smoke was bothering you, and when you asked the smoker to put it out, he was rude to you?
Also, if a restaurant has insufficient filtering for the smoking section, why do you bother going there anymore? Why give them your business? why should all restaurants conform to YOUR standards?
