Just like saying "I need to go xerox some copies of this". Pop is the dumb thing. Might as well call it a "fizzle" or some other lame name if that's how things get named.

Nah, the people who really twist my crank call it "sodypop" or something ridiculously childish like that.

I personally call it either soda or pop since my father called it one and my mother called it the other.

Or you say "Get in the car" when it could be a van, truck, etc...or saying clorox for bleaching something....or people say "Get the shop vac" when it doesnt necassarily mean a "Shop Vac"
