Re: You drive out of Dunkin Donuts...
Id just have accelerated to get my nose out of his blindspot and layed on my horn. Been in that situation countless times. Always looking for adjacent cars to start merging on me. Your best chance is to get their attention, if you slam on your breaks and have someone close behind, they'll likely hit you. The driver should at least be looking in the direction they are merging (if not they need to be shot on the spot), moving your vehicle out of their blind spot, and sounding your horn is more likely to prevent an incident.
I always have to be on my toes, comes with the territory of driving a cooper.

Re: You drive out of Dunkin Donuts...
I use to hit the brakes for retards but any more they'll figure it out when anywhere from 7 thousand to 13 thousand lbs slams into them. The ultimate excuse i tow a 16 ft trailer most of the time with flooring supplies on it "I couldn't slow down in time". So whatever the weight is on the trailer plus the 6000 lbs truck with nice shiny metal bumpers is a pretty good reminder of why they should pay attention.
