new steam?

Havn't had any MAJOR issues with steam to make me hate it. It's got some minor issues, but nothing to big. I just wish they'd do a bit more with it. Like make the in-game browser be used out of game. I think it's about time steam had it's own brower that could compete with Chrome, IE, and FF. Have collapsable side bars that give you game info of your favorite servers and shows you friends lists.

They also need to improve the way they handle non-steam games. Just because Steam doesn't have it in their store doesn't mean they can find a way to make non-steam game intergrate into steam better. Update Game info and give each game it's own page with SS and vids. I'd like to be able to look in my friends list and see someone playing a non-steam game, then be able to right click(or something) on them and look at the info of that game in steam(see what it is, what it looks like).

In all honesty the new steam LOOKS nice, but its essentially the same as the old. Its a nice facelift/skin, but thats about it. What I want steam to do is to have file sharing capabilities, screen shots, and movies like xfire. In my opinion, that would make it a TRUE competitor to xfire. Otherwise they are just different products.

well all I can say is... I never downloaded anything from Steam this fast, usually can't get over 300-500kbit.

Reinstalling CSS on my laptop.

This is what Im talking about. Ever since Valve decided to have a gaming platform and steam came along, it has ruined everything. Those of you that know me, know that i completely, 100%, with all my passion, HATE HATE HATE fucking steam, i HATE it.

I remember the days when i just launced CS from my desktop....with my changed hacked CD key at the time cuz i was too poor to buy it...Remember when you could just go into Regedit? Remember those days! LOL Im talkin 1999 here people! WOOO

Then Steam comes along and fucks everything up. So iam saying, HOPEFULLY they have fixed the major issues with friends and the entire network...if they have...then fucking A, steam will be cool..

Yeah...they ruined everything. That's why there's 2,000,000 people on Steam at any given time, right?

I remember the days when you had to hunt for the right HL and CS patch, then hope to God that you got the right one....then wait in line for 2-3 hours to download it because there's 100,000 people ahead of you. You may miss that, but I sure don't.

Now, you click install and you're downloading your games. You tell me, which is easier?

I'm sorry, but you're wrong on this one. Steam was/is one of the best things to happen to PC gaming.

2,000, 000 people don't use something that is crap. The numbers don't lie.

You might not like the new UI, but to say that Steam as a whole isn't a good thing....is ludacris.
