If you are looking to keep costs down do some country style pork ribs. Cook them slow and do not be afraid to sauce them early. I can post my full recipe if you are interested. Country style pork ribs are basically a cut up Boston butt. They are fucking yummy for my tummy. Normally $1.29-$1.99 per pound.

I got a baked beans and slaw concoction as well.

What makes them better in my experience is to get a good fire going, let them die down a little and push all the coals to one side of the pit, then put the ribs on the other side and let them cook and smoke for a while. Come out GREAT.

Doing that this weekend in fact, good swimming weather here in Central Texas this weekend, if the weather permits.

Ahh, then my method isn't gonna work as well as it does for me. My fires are man fires from wood I chopped up myself. 8)

Chicken with some Stubb's Moppin sauce. Marinade the chicken overnight (breasts, quarters, whatever you have) and continue to mop on the sauce while you are grilling.
