@civil I can't read the appleinsider from my phone. The the article was written in 09 alone with the internet news site. Frimw what I read from internet news. They are just make a guess.
As forbthe second link. Yeah you can unlock your iPhone and go to another gsm network. Which happens to be tmobile. But in doing that you lose 3g coverage and can only use Edge.
AT&T butxhing about the iPhone jogging up they networks is bullshit. They have a shitload of money but won't upgrade their current infustructure. Once they implement LTE they better shut up and provide a good network.
When android catches on. It'll use as much bandwidth as the iPhones because well it's a smartphone OS. People are going to want to use the Internet one them.
The only draw nvm I have with the android is that it is fragmented between carries and phones. You have the new ones coming out with 2.2 but you still have people using lesser versions! All because the carries get the code first and do whatever they want with it then but it on the phone. So all the phones are different.
One of the good things apple did was tell AT&T that they were going to post the updates. And not let them touch it. Sure AT&T could make suggestions, like not allow tethering. But other providers in other nations have it.
The reason I won't get an android phone now is two reasons. One I'm already heavily invested in apps. Didn't think about that when I bought my iPhone. And second the jailbreak on the iPhone is easy and gettingbetter. While I don't really know much about smartphones OSs I don't want to root into an adriod phone too unlock certian items that I want. The jailbreak community has great apps that do all the work for you and access the iPhone OSs locked items or making the current options better.
@ bunni. I hear sone good things about win7 for the windows phones. But thy are taking a page from apple and locking it down a bit.
