The fan is probably going out, order a new fan from newegg.com or one of your other favorite sources of computer hardware. I fixed a BFG 9500 GT card that had a bad fan with an old fan from a 7850 I had laying around and it works fine, just have to check the fit and reapply some thermal paste.

It's likely the bearings going out on the fan. Sometimes also is a sign you need to blow out the fan real well with compressed air. Replacing the fan is a cheap alternative as people have said. Just measure the fan size and buy the comparable fan on newegg. Another option is to remove the fan and take it to Fry's and then you can physically match up the fan to what you're buying.

Re: You vid card starts buzzing...
Hmm, Out of curiosity. My card buzzes when i turn it on but after it gets warmed up it stops. Although now i can hear a high pitched whine. Any ideas? This computer eats through cards like no other, im almost positive its cause of the ventilation, So far ive had 3 cards total, my last card that blew was an 8600GT and when i pulled it out there were 3 or 4 capasitors blown up. This card i took from my friends old comp its an 8800GTS overclocked by nvidia and i threw in his PSU i forget how much it is. Anyways last week i had to blow the card out with air cause it was running at like 100C (im pretty sure it was higher than that) and it kept overheating on CSS. Once blown out it was fine and cooled off again, As of now its running at 80C and in CSS it sits at like 82C but my FPS is like 30-40 when it should be like 60-100. Could any of this also play into the fact i just hooked my 32inch LCD 1080PHD tv up to my computer?
