Thread: Bored off my ass in Vancouver. What is there to do here?

I am 2,500 miles from home in Vancouver, BC. Anyone from around here got a suggestion for what the hell to do here? As someone from Michigan I have a natural predilection to dislike anything Canadian, so keep that in mind.

There's a great music scene. The coast is near. Mountains are near. If you like art there's tons of that.

It really depends what you're into, and how much time you have, I guess.

Get some poutine! Nothing says yum like fries with cheese curds and brown gravy on top!

Get some over priced Canadian beer, and wander the downtown east side screaming "SAUSO IS THAT YOU?!?!?" at every cop you see, and liberally hugging law enforcement. If they question you just say you're looking for a friend from an internet forum.

that sounds like the best idea. It's a win-win! Either a) you find him on the street, or b) when the arrest you, you can find him in jail!

When you find Sauso, you guys should go see Ironstomach, and take him out for Sushi, go see a show, and stop sitting in your hotel room not seeing the forest for all the trees. <3

I think the drunken cop-hugging sounds like a winner. Actually, I am driving up into the mountains after work I think.

I don't know about you, but a bunch of my time would be spent on W. Hastings St., soaking it all in.........
