    Your IDE fails, tragically

So I use ZendStudio (off branch of Eclipse) and Eclipse for php development... as they really are the only two IDEs with some support for php dev.

However Eclipse (and subsequently ZendStudio) have a nasty ass habit of encountering a critical error while opening random code files. In other-words the IDE encounters an error so fatal that it cannot open the requested file. The files this happens on are always random with little to no justifiable cause (usually the case of no cause), ex Ill have some file open for reference, not make any changes, close it, then later that day reopen it and that file encounters the error.

Absolutely pathetic, Its the one thing that should never, ever, under and circumstances happen. Yet, it happens so often that i almost always have to have a notepad++ session open to view the error encountered files with at LEAST syntax highlighting. Who ever heard of an IDE failing to do the only thing it was designed to do? It would be similar to having car's wells randomly, commonly just fall off while driving. Or maybe similar to your house just desiding to unfold like an origami figure to open up its inner rooms to the element.

And its a specific problem with Eclipse, a very, very elusive error that has yet to be fixed or any work around's. Whats worse is that it has no avoidable causes and is the ultimate groove destroyer/buzz kill.

Im currently waiting on ZendStudio to refresh the vbulletin project (some 5k of files) that it has to parse directly to build the class structures and what not. Sigh...mayble ill be able to get back to programming in another 45 minutes...

Fail Eclipse fail, this is what you get for using Java, errors that are so fatal that the product no longer accomplishes its intended purpose, which ultimately renders the application entirely useless. I mise as well just use notepad

I thought you were talking about the IDE connection form factor for a minute there... I understand your pain, I work with Autodesk Inventor a lot and the simplest things are often extremely hard, then once you do it 30 times you find the shortcut....
