Re: Deer 1 Dog 0
Interesting view.... Seems they were in a rural neighborhood to me. Very common in Alabama rural neighborhoods that everyone's dogs run wild. Hell when I was a kid it was ok to shoot your neighbors dog for getting in the trash, messing with your stuff or tearing things up so long as you called him to come get it LOL. There was also no such thing as stray dogs or the humane society.
I felt sorry for the dog but I was not pissed at the deer either. I would have killed the deer if the stars would have been in line but would have quickly made it into steaks and put it in the freezer. As for the fawn, they are tender I hear lol.

Re: Deer 1 Dog 0
Shit... I still shoot stray dogs that enter my gal's land. We have livestock - so as soon as they cross that fence - I have the go ahead on humans or animals. Our dog has already been attacked by strays.
Lately, we've been having somebody (or somebodies) who have been coming onto our property and throwing everything off our porch at nights. Chairs, propane grill (the big ones), tables, fishing poles, etc... Hub is going to wait out by the barn at night this weekend. All they get is 1 warning shot - the rest are flying in their direction.
It's their pick - 12ga, .40 cal, or AR-15.Last edited by BigHub; 06-28-10 at 08:59 AM.
