Deer 1 Dog 0
Appears that a doe had just given birth to a fawn in a populated neighborhood. Cat was messing with the fawn at first with no major issues. Then this dog comes along, I dont even think he knew the deer was there.
Deer kicks the shit our of the dog and then goes for the cat.
***WARNING***
This video may be disturbing to some. I saw no blood in it but the dog does get fucked up. View at your own risk. I find nature pretty interesting and thought I would share. It made my skin crawl. If it would have been my dog, shit would not have gone down like that.

Re: Deer 1 Dog 0
I love how the lady screams but does nothing... if she would have run at the deer I don't think the deer would have challanged her and would have ran off with the fawn. That dog was like 12 or more feet away and it didn't even seem like the pair was heading that way. That fucking deer went out of it's way to attack that dog for what reason I don't understand. I hope the dog was ok... Yeah I have a siberian husky if some deer went at my dog they have go through me first.

My guess is the deer took the dog to be a wolf and they will not hesitate to defend their young the minute a threat is percieved. Remember that's a newborn Fawn that doesn't have the endurance for long bursts of speed. You see it lie down after a few steps from the car. The mother knows this instinctively and will be highly agitated from any threat around. As Commander said, it was just being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Re: Deer 1 Dog 0
I love wildlife videos. Personally i don't feel much remorse for the lady screaming for her dog. Why was your dog off the leash running around in the street? Why were u allowing your pets to harass a baby deer with its mom around? Maybe the dog was not that ladies, even so, the owners of the dog have nothing to complain about. They let their dog roam around the neighborhood without a leash and without a fence. it was deemed a threat by a mother deer and whammo natural selection. It would suck to lose a pet to this kind of thing, but the owners are to blame.
Not to beat a dead horse, but If there is one iron clad fact in the animal kingdom, it is "don't mess with a mother and her baby." The cat messing with the fawn put mom on edge. That deer was spooked. That cat was so stupid, what was it thinking, stalking the mother, and biting the fawn? The cat spooked the deer. The mother deer thought it was a cat/dog ambush and the mom took out the larger threat. If you are going to build subdivisions and live in areas where deer birth their young, you might want to keep your pets away from the protective mothers.Who's Next With Plex,

Re: Deer 1 Dog 0
I found most of that video rather cute, and the rest, pretty normal. I don't think the doe was much bothered by the cat. Tiny little thing, basically no threat (hell the baby was just like meh, go away). Loki is correct. The dog was perceived as something of a predator. If that lady had tried to step in, you'd seen her ass getting beatin badly too. You don't fuck with wild animals, especially mothers, and certainly keep your pets away from them.
The interesting part is the dog really. Most wild animals would have had the sense to be ready to fight or run well before that doe started charging. Domestic animals are basically stupid, they have real sense of threat. The cat -- still decently honed physically was just too curious. Notice how the doe didn't do a thing until the cat batted at her? Cat = no threat. The dog got cold cocked. Poor unlucky pup.
And again that was a doe. If that was a buck, he'd been way deadlier and aggressive. (Especially as seeing a buck in suburbia is usually a bad sign)
