yeah.....the acting was very bland. I didn't feel any emotion. which sucks because you could really do some great things with this story. Even though the anime was geared towards kids, it's still got a lot of adult themes throughout it.

To put it bluntly, this is to the Avatar show what the Twilight Movie was to the books. They both butchered the original concepts and scarred you for life.

Looks like some weird hybrid of fantasy and martial arts. For kids. Um did he turn into Raiden at the end of that preview? That aside, books will always be better than the movies. Rare it is ever the other way around. Unless of course you don't like reading.
