Thread: People act like they are all "ZOMG I LUV SOCCER" because the world cup is on

I think the title says it all. It's kinda funny to watch people that have no idea how an offsides works think it's the best sport in the world until the USA loses, then they just don't care again for another 4 years.

My friend has also started to make me want to smack her. She apparently loves soccer, constantly calls it football (Yes it really IS football, but in the US it's soccer, so call it soccer), but doesn't understand how much time is left (lol whut clock goes up!) or why xxx player was or wasn't offsides.

soccers boring as fuck. It's only amusing to watch because of the constant vuvuzelas and the terrible acting whenever someone so much as grazes another player.

Ohhh, was that the one when the goalie was up a bit, so the player was behind him? Something like that. I remembering everyone being like WTF THAT'S TOTALLY NOT OFFSIDES BSBSBSBSBS, while I just lol'd at their retardation.

Oh and soccer is most definitely a tough sport, having only 3 subs for a whole 90+ minute game takes a LOT of endurance. Those Ty Cobb-esque metal cleats are naaaasty too.
