Re: USA vs CAN...
Does Warlady's rant mean I have to stop trolling?
Here in Canada I was raised to know that hunting and fishing are not sports, but ways to put food on your damn table. Only way hunting is a sport is if you're doing it bare handed and bare assed to give the animal a chance. A pen knife is a possibility if you're hunting bear or cougar in a sporting manner... Pansies.
As the cat clawed and bit into his neck, face, and head, Parker managed to open his knife's three-inch blade, stab the cougar a few times, and eventually slit its throat, leaving the cat to bleed in the middle of the gravel road.

Re: USA vs CAN...
Lol, you act like sport hunters only kill animals...lol, they eat them too, trust me. I know plenty of sport hunters, they spend alot of money to hunt BIG game, and compete for national recoginition...
Same thing with fishing. B.A.S.S and FLW are the 2 biggest federations for fishing. Every fish they catch is released back into the lake, after weigh in, and if the fish dies, there is a fine that goes to the angler. These arent stupid "hillbillys" out there. These are people who understand nature, and have a very educated background in conservation and preservation of wildlife...

Re: USA vs CAN...
Maybe coming from a coastal background with numerous generations of fishermen and hunters has altered my perspective a bit. My great grandfather was a market hunter, my grandfather a hunting guide at times, both fishermen. My father grew up on an island with a population consisting solely of his family, and took up fishing for his career. I'm fully aware of how much some idiots spend to kill an animal, and the sad thing is that some don't even take them home.
Never gave a thought to the size of an animal's rack... The big bastards are the dominant males, so I don't think it's right to shoot them unless population control is the name of your game.
Depending on the size of the fish population and the number of anglers, catch and release may be best to preserve if you feel obligated to fish for some reason. On the other hand, there's a lake I'm looking at out my window right now with some gorgeous Rainbow trout in it, and I'm literally the ONLY one that fishes it. Hard to put a dent in it by myself with occasional fishing. Can't wait to smoke some trout this year!
What number are we on now?
