Thread: I really hate it when......

When I go away for a while because of work and family and when I return, people who were formerly well respected cool cats are now excommunicated from the server/community and I have no idea why.

I speak of Koopa and anybody associated with him who's no longer here.

What happened? I dont exactly want to dredge up old nonsense, but I'd still like to know what happened there. If anybody feels like shedding some light on it in a PM I would welcome it.

Just to show you how out of it I am regarding community politics, I have no idea what happened with the Phalanx crew either. lmao.

anyway, I just hate it when I fall out of the loop and it is out of my control.

I dont expect a dissertation in a public forum, the only reason I'm curious is that Koop was a cool guy and then one day I woke up and he was a dick (i guess?) and I was wondering what happened.

JP, koopa, cuntsmacker, outlawsaint, tommyK, oreo cookies, and the usual gang persisted in claiming they were being oppressed and silenced here. At TTP. Probably the only bastion of democracy and group governance in FPS online gaming.

The most recent outbreak was JP's unwillingness to accept that DWP was adopted by the server, and that his criticisms of DWP were utterly and completely invalid. And this was before DWP even demonstrated it's balance.

JP decided to go rogue, create a competing public community, server, forum, etc. We found out about it, and anytime we have to find out about things, rather than be told of them......we assume these things were created out of deceit and malice.

And they were.

JP's forums are riddled with TTP insults and flames, they are covered in allegations that they had no voice and were discriminated against in TTP (though there is a complete and utter lack of leadership and democracy in TDR, same as phalanx, and likely TeamWork, of which the latter two have slowly drifted off into oblivion, with baseline clan activity, server connections, and website traffic).

Given the way it turned out, and given TTP's previous interactions with such situations, TTP banned anyone, anywhere, that had any association, or even implied sympathy or friendship with JP's venture. Clans were demolished, admins, reservists, and site moderators were excommunicated, and TTP as a whole no longer discusses the situation (as you can see frmo above).

If you have a problem, or if you'd like to imagine that guys like koopa, cuntsmacker, and JP were

formerly well respected cool cats

then I tell you to either leave now, or leave later. They were nothing but unjustified complainers and accusers when they were here, they flaunted decency and fairness expectations in the forums, they ridiculed and derided other admins for choosing the majority opinion over irrational or falsely based arguments, and they created an underground network of communication behind the public and admin backs, purposefully created to undermine authority, instill mutiny, and create false perceptions about TTP as a whole. They brought a LOT of people down with them. Major figures, long term regulars, serious donators and contributors, and actual, real life friends.

They have nothing to offer other than TTP envy and hate. They have nothing to say, other than to insult and shame (such as koopa's recent insult, thrown into a topic dedicated to a recent death in the TTP circle). Thus, they have no place here.

Internet friends, and true friends are two different things. TTP has hundreds....thousands of people to meet and befriend. If you feel attached to those that are now gone, and feel it necessary to play or continue to be "friends" with them.......go right ahead.

However, anyone friends with anything associated with that group of people is not a friend of TTP, and will be judged, banned, and/or excommunicated on sight, without warning, without refund of any funds contributed, and without question.

We were merciful before, but times change. Phalanx burned us, TeamWork taught us, and JP's venture gave us the justification needed to set the new TTP protocol for situations like this.

My advice, consultant, is to simply take it for what it is, and get back to playing the game. Your "friends" are still here, and theres alot of new people you haven't interacted with that have 100X more to offer than a bunch of drugged out, indifferent, ambitiousless, classless dogs.

And every last bit of my statements here are 100% verifiable. Trust us, and forget it ever happened.
