You may also have to replace the parking brake cable if it stretched and wont 100% release the brake letting the pads rub. Or just adjust the cable.

So after replacing the rotor/drum with no change at all in the squeak, it may be something more serious. My other though is maybe the driveshaft is squeaking where it connects to the diff...idk and I'm pissed off that I spent all this god damn money on brakes only to turn around and hear that stupid fucking squeak. A lot of you may be wondering why I'm so angry. It's because I care about my car, I want it to be in the best of shape possible at all times.

In my mind, everytime it squeaks I failed to properly maintain my vehicle.

Block the wheels, put it in neutral, jack up the rear, spin tires and listen. When you spin one side the other will spin opposite. I would check it out in every way possible. Could be something simple.

    Re: BRAKES!!!!

    calipers hanging....?
stuck pads are usually due to a rock wacking them or someone didn't grease the slide surfaces well enough when installed (when i say grease i mean brake lube, never use grease).

A u joint squeaking.... thats new to me, hopefully you didnt pay much as they are usually very cheap to replace yourself. Also, have you checked your wheel bearings? They can chirp and squeak themselves to destruction, re-pack them!

I didn't spin it all too fast, they probably did it a lot faster.
