Really? The whole, "Let's turn an entire continent's plight into a joke to further our own political beliefs" bit seems funny to you? And exactly how does that make you any better than the jerkoff politicians who exploit these same issues, albeit on the flip side of the coin, to further their own agendas?

I'm not going to get into the discussion as to whether or not the so called Plan B Pill is right or wrong, but snarky little comments like the one I quoted sure as hell aren't going to help the pro-choice cause one bit. However, maybe it's not your fault. Maybe you don't realize that, in a part of the world which has the highest concentration of AIDS or HIV infected people per capita, traditional healers are telling those infected that they can cure their disease by having sex with a virgin, which leads to another global high statistic, the youngest average age of rape victims in the world. Have you ever met a 5 year old rape victim? How about thirty of them, all in one place, all with the same story, all with the average life expectancy of about 15 years? Would you tell them that their lives, as short as they'll be, are the subject of a political joke in the United States, a country which, supposedly, is trying to help the countries in which they live?

Kraker, I consider you a friend, but having just come back from Africa, I can't sit by and stay quiet about that one little line. Call me oversensitive if you wish, pull out all the "sand in my vagina" jokes you care to, I don't really give a shit. I've seen more childrens' lives ruined by the subject of that line in the past 8 months than most people will ever see or even hear about their entire lives. The situation in Africa is a disaster, and the more people make jokes and laugh about it, the further and further we get from solving the problem. I don't care who you are, or what side of the aisle you sit on, using another peoples' suffering to further your own agenda is not just wrong, it's fucking inhumane, and in my opinion turns you into a disgrace to the human race.

Wow, I'm terribly sorry. I didn't realize that just because a few comedy writers decided to fire off some political satire at the expense of an entire continent it suddenly becomes acceptable to repeat and rehash whatever a few jerkoffs come up with in a conference room, which is roughly 8,000 miles away from the subject matter they're mocking/satirizing/parodizing. Do you get all of your values from TV and the internet? I keep seeing people referring to the fact that, since they've seen/heard someone else say it on TV or the internet, that they're justified in regurgitating whatever got spat into their ears. I'd have thought you were smarter than that, Kraker.

And what is that whole business about me not frequenting a site "like yourself"? Is that your only argument? I don't visit a certain website, so my opinions are automatically rendered invalid? If the point you and your website are trying to make is so weak and unsupported by anything more than sarcasm, then that's not really the best proponent of your case to offer to the general public. That's like getting Dennis Leary to represent you at a murder trial. Sure, he might get a few laughs from the jury, but in the end, you're still going to end up on death row.
