The Dark Knight Rises

I am pretty much the biggest Batman fan you will ever meet so I had to make a thread about the third and final movie! I saw Batman Begins when it came out to DVD and was so upset I didn't see it in the theatres. I didn't expect it to be a good movie at all, but obviously Christopher Nolan has shown us the truth. I went to go see The Dark Knight opening night at Chicago Navy Pier Imax and then the next two following days at regular theatres. You can bet your ass I will be trying my hardest to get opening night tickets again in IMAX. Everyday I also check the latest Batman 3 news.

The Title has been released obviously, "The Dark Knight Rises" and Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine, and Morgan Freeman will all be in the new movie as their previous characters. The new addition, Tom Hardy(Inception) is most likely going to be a villain but we don't know who for now. (Riddler, Penguin, Croc, who knows) They are also currently auditioning for the lead female role in the movie, which could either be a new love interest or maybe Catwoman.

I am hoping for the best for this third and final film. Christopher Nolan said that he is very excited at how they are ending this series so I trust in him to do the right thing. Anyone else excited for the third film?

Christoper Nolan already announced that the villain isn't going to be The Riddler.

Yea I heard that a couple weeks ago and IMDB had Tom Hardy rumored as Detective Harvey Bullock when they first announced Hardy tagging on, but now IMDB has him rumored as the Riddler. Imdb is as legit as movie sites come, but yes I don't think we can for sure say who Tom Hardy will be playing.

Christopher Nolan also likes to keep his movies mysterious as long as possible. There is a possibility he could be jerking us around.

I still think think keaton, cloney, kilmer batmans were the best.

Batman Begins was an incredible film... I like it far more than the Dark Knight even, which was also great.

Agreed on the blech.

Had forgotten there was another Nolan Batman coming. Awesome.

You mean they were better batmans or better movies? Batman's maybe, but movies not so much. Nolan brings the detective side of batman back, and that's really why he's a good hero. He's smart as well as strong.

Also, I think so far Bales been the best real Bruce. I say real cause no one will ever beat Kevin Conroy as Bruce or Batman.

Nolan said no to riddler, but he did say there was gunna be some of old bad guys(ones already used) and some new ones. I like the idea of giving Batman a physical challenge in this one as well as a mental one. It seems he's yet to be beat physically, and we need that.

I liked Keaton as Batman, even though I thought I wouldn't. The movies that followed I'd pay to have scrubbed from my brain if that were possible.
This latest reboot I've really enjoyed with Bales. I actually watched "The Dark Knight" at a Drive In movie theater. Cool experience. I'm looking forward to the third movie as well.

Bale just needs more work on the voice, he had it perfect in Begins. Wish he woulda have kept it the same.

I personally think they should make it longer than just 3 movies but thats just me, theres so much they could do with that cast of actors they have, but if i recall bale had backed out after the dark knight and i guess nolan begged him to just finish the series off.
