In 2012 anyways. Should be nice for them, now they have an even easier time winning a conference championship and the Big East gets one team they can use to say "See, See! We are a great conference! >.>..."
TCU has accepted a bid for full membership to become the 17th member of the Big East Conference, effective July 1, 2012.
"Having BCS automatic-qualifying status was a priority for our football program and a great reward for the success we've had the last decade," TCU athletic director Chris Del Conte said in a statement.
The conference change allows TCU to play in an automatic BCS-qualifying league beginning in the 2012-13 school year.
At least won't have to worry about enduring a crap Big East team getting into a BCS bowl (Hi Pitt, UCONN)

The Big East sucks almost as much as the Mountain West and WAC these days, but they do have an automatic bid, at least for now. This had been rumored for a while, but the BE just wanted TCU football, and TCU said it's all or nothing. Glad to see it happen, but wish they had joined the Big 12, soon to be Big 10, not to be confused with the Big 10 that is soon to be the Big 12.

True, but win the MWC, and you only get a BCS bid if you are undefeated, ie TCU the last 2 years. Win the Big East, and you can go to a BCS game with 2-3 losses. More money, more exposure, and more East coast bias in their favor. All around it is good for TCU, but IMO not as good as the Big 12 would have been if the Longhorns weren't so damn greedy.
