Re: The Beer Thread
Im partial to the local breweries here in Minnesota, Dex you know what Im talking about. Summit (IPA, EPA, Stout and Porter are all excellent choices) and Schell (Firebrick, Maibock, Snowstorm and EPA are excellent as well) seriously cant be beat imo. Leinenkugels is good too, original or Honey Weis. And when I just wanna get drunk its nothing but Budweiser, as my sig suggests, or Michelob Golden Draft Light.

Re: The Beer Thread
MMMMMmmmmmmmmm.....McSmoothie over everything. By far the most popular beer in these parts. McGolden is for drinking mass quantities.
I love Leinie's Honey Weiss, Summit, and Brain Melt (Grain Belt, or "Primo") on a hot Summer day. As for 'sippin beers, Leinies Oktoberfest and Bock top my list. We have some damn good local breweries up here, but Pigs Eye is not one of them......that stuff is absolutely horrible.Last edited by dex71; 12-02-10 at 09:51 AM.

Re: The Beer Thread
I had the luxury of drinking it at the brewery in Chip Falls. Best beer I've ever had.......So fresh, it tasted completely different.
A friend and I were on our way to some MotoX races ( my friend was racing....not me...no freaking way), so we stopped in to take the tour of the Leini Brewery. At the end, they give you three wooden nickles that you trade in their souvenir shop/hospitality room for three "samples". The old guy working their "sample" bar was no less than 187 years old, and had worked at the brewery for at least 100 of them. We were the only ones there (it was like a Wednesday afternoon), so he just started talking.......and pouring. We sat there for at least three hours listening to old brewery stories and we never saw the bottom of our glasses. One of those classic days that I will never forget, or fully remember.
