The Ohio State Gold Pants Scandal

Crazy...not good. Five players, including Pryor receiving improper benefits and trading autographs for tattoos. Wild...

Doesn't look like Tressel was involved nor anyone at the school, but the players knew it was wrong after watching what happend to AC Green.
Jim the dork should sit them for the bowl game. WTF is NCAA doing? AC Green couldn't play right away but the NCAA is going to allow these guys to play in the bowl game and suspend them the first 5 games of next year. Pryor will say FUCK YOU. I'm going pro (of course he will suck in the NFL)

Pryor isn't ready for the pros, and the NCAA really screwed the pooch on this one. If you're gonna issue a suspension, then issue the suspension straight up...not with some bs crap about "unique opportunities".

My favorite part about the entire story was ESPN reporting that they are appealing the decision by the NCAA stating that the players (including Pryor) didn't know what they were doing was wrong and that the rules about this instance are vague.........seriously? Don't take shit from people for free and don't sell/give things away in exchange for other goods or services....PERIOD...how difficult is that to understand?

Honestly, cool your ass off for 3-4 years, stay off the grid, and go collect your millions in the NFL...sometimes I wonder about these kids.

And I'm sure I'll catch some flak for this opinion considering the contrast of it to my opinion on Cam Newton. The difference is, however obvious it may be to __% of the country, there isn't enough evidence yet to prove anything, with this case, apparently there is plenty of it.

I hope pryor becomes a starting quarterback. i love dual threat qb's. they are most entertaining to watch. but ya im with you big tymer, i lean towards the belief that he will do diddly squat in the pros.

QB is the most difficult position in any sport. You have to be a good athlete, smart, dedicated, and so much more. That is why there are so many misses.

Rock, my question in regards to the evidence is can we trust that the NCAA has disclosed everything they know, or even that they are working diligently to uncover the truth. I am much more trusting of a cop out working a case than one at the donut shop, and I am not sure which category the NCAA falls into on the Cam saga.

After all the bs that's happened with NCAA thus far, and seeing what they are doing now with this Ohio State issue, I'm not inclined to believe much of anything they say, let alone assume they are being 100% honest and transparent. I can sit here and think that Newton, Pryor, whoever is guilty all I want, and if the NCAA says there isn't sufficient evidence for one case, but there is for another, I can choose to believe they are playing favorites and being unethical and dishonest (which could very well be the case....highly likely), but there is still a certain amount of doubt. And concerning voting, as a voter, I can think the NCAA is lying, but in the end, there still reamins the chance (albeit small or large), that they are being completely transparent.

Basically, I'm of the opinion "Better 1000 guilty men go free, than 1 innocent man be punished" (or whatever that quote is).

Believe me, I'm not of the opinion that the NCAA is being 100% completely honest, bc it's obvious they are full of shit when that much money is on the line.

And that is my point. Your argument is that the evidence is not there, and my argument is that the evidence is there, it is just not being released...yet.

Can you say that with 100% certainty that there is concrete, lock down evidence though? Even a liar tells the truth every once in a while. The NCAA may very well be witholding evidence, but we don't know that for sure. Anything else is just speculation and you can't prematurely suspend players based soley on speculation.

Do I think the NCAA is shady? Yep. But that's an assumption on your and my part. Can't "convict" on that.

The FBI is involved, so the truth eventually has to come out.

Can I 100% prove what? Can I prove that his dad is a POS that asked for money to have him play? With all the evidence I would say that is as close to 100% as it gets. Can I prove that he asked Auburn for money, received money from Auburn, or that Cam had any knowledge of what his dad was doing? Not with 100% certainty, but on the question of Cam at least having knowledge of it I am at about 85%. So, the question is, if your dad is whoring you out to the highest bidder does that make YOU ineligible? I think you already stated that the NCAA has already said yes to that, so to ME he should be ineligible.

If it were just one person saying his dad pimped him out then I might tend to agree with you, but there are quite a few that have knowledge of it, and are telling the same story. Too much smoke.
