Re: We just started MMA month!
If gsp beats shields the its supposed to be him vs silva... I don't know how good gsps chances are now. I mean the last fight he had real trouble w/ (other than the Serra one) I think was the first BJ fight because of his better striking. I guess we'll see if he can hang our take him down like Sonnen!

Shields is good, but I think that GSP is going to stay out of danger easily. Both GSP and Silva are constantly working so that no aspect of their game is weak, and to give themselves overpowering advantages in certain areas. Silva's kick was a thing of beauty. GSP vs. Silva would be the fight of our generation... two fighters at the top of their sport, before their skills get hurt by age. I hope GSP can finish Shields without injury because GSP vs. Silva would be the superfight that would be hard to top within our generation.

I just wonder how much time gsp will need to put on the extra muscle. He walks around about 190. He says he wants to be at least 200-210... That's gonna take some work, I mean frank Mir did it quick but I'm not sure how natural that is. 20 in a few, even 6-9 months is crazy if it's muscle!

Re: We just started MMA month!
Truth86 my heart hurts to see the end of an era. But at least it was via doctor stoppage and not because Fedor was knocked out or submitted. He gave up 50 lbs and took it 2 rounds, and in my heart would have won the 3rd if the doctor had allowed it to continue. Fedor return for one last fight vs. Werdum...

Re: We just started MMA month!
Fedor's eye got messed up. Youre right the weight difference really hurt him but he was tough. IDK it seemed like his game plan wasn't the best... seemed like he was just kind of swinging away. I guess he was trying to put silva away fast. Good stoppage to me he didn't need to go into the third round like that.
... but if anyone should retire, it's Arlovski. He just can't take the hard punches.
