Re: most miserable sports cities
+1
Chicago sports were the shit back in the late-80's/early 90's. The Hawks went from tough but shitty to incredible in just a few years. Eddie The Eagle, Chelios (pre Social-Security), Denis Savard (he's still spinning), Jeremy Roenick and Tony Amonte (one of the funnest scoring duos to watch...ever), just to name a few. The 84 Bears were quite possibly the best football team ever assembled , and the Bulls were just off the freaking charts....probably never to be repeated....or threepeated....
plus Ditka.

thats why they made the list, it measures on miserable in the sense of things like having a team that i competitive/makes the playoffs but doesn't win shit (or losing heartbreaker in the playoffs), ones the lose a team, etc. It is how Phoenix made 3rd on the list (We've had teams that will get into the playoffs every year for 4-5 year runs, and then blow it/go to shit/etc. The newest team in the city is the only one with a ring xD).
