AT&T acquires T-Mobile
I'm not sure how I feel about this. I was with AT&T for 10 years and left because of shitty customer service and other problems. 2 years later and I might be right back.

Re: AT&T acquires T-Mobile
there goes t-mobile, at&t will run off any good customers that they may have. i remember when i had cingular before the dumb fucks took them over...... called at&t after they switched shit over about a dead zone around my work where my phone never could get any signal now i live and work in the greater los angeles area not in the sticks, and the stupid ass rep told my "well i have to drive 5 miles to the main road to get signal on my phone". Told him yeah whatever your a stupid ass if you put up with that kinda service. If i have to drive 5 miles to get signal i might as well drive down to the local pay phone....Never the less switched to verizon........lol

I actually prefer AT&T. I have had them for years, and have worked in the cellular industry off and on. As far as coverage goes Verizon is the best, hands down. T-Mobile's coverage is by far the worst. AT&T is slightly behind Verizon and Sprint. To me AT&T is a hundred times better in their customer service. They allow me to change plans any time without a new contract, and have actually helped me pick the plan that will save me the most money. My ranking for the carriers at the moment is Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, then all the other fringe companies.

Re: AT&T acquires T-Mobile
Verizon may win in the city's, but in the South Texas AT&T wins. My brother in law works for Union Pacific (Houston to Alpine) and their work phones are AT&T. His personal is T-Mobile. He switched his personal to Verizon for 30 days and switched back. He said his signal was always going out. He also said he has never had a time when his AT&T didn't work and the others did.
Things might have changed, but every little change I tried to made they extended my contract. The final straw was when I accidentally broke my phone. It was expensive at the time so I was trying to get a discount. I had zero problem with another 2 year contract as I was out of contract. They gave me a $50 credit off the retail price. I laughed and said I would like to cancel my phone. They ended my line so fast I was in shock. I didn't want a free phone. I just wanted some help and in return they would have had me for another 2 years. It could have been the CSR's last day for all I know and they were like "fuck it". Either way that was my experience and that's why I am bitter. I'll admit I loved their coverage. At this point I deal with customer service maybe 2 times a year. I can get past that, but I hate the data restrictions.

Re: AT&T acquires T-Mobile
Say what!?!
I have verizon and I have been all over south texas and the only place I lose service is just outside of stockdale. All the other rural areas I have great service. I know lots of people with att and t mobile that have to walk to a certain spot in their house or outside to get a signal. Sprint has good coverage but they have some real random deadzones. My brother has att and he drops calls all the time. I cant even remember when the last time I had a dropped call.

There may be a few random locations where AT&T has better coverage than Verizon, but for the most part Verizon is king. I have friends and family that both work in the cell tower business, and everyone agrees that for the most part nationwide Verizon is better.
