So, tonight I get a call from my parents. Apparently, a car with a description matching mine with my license plate was involved in a hit and run. This happened at 9AM while I was in class, and a woman was driving.
My car at the time was parked in a parking lot on campus and was there when I went with a friend to lunch after my first two classes (which lasted from 8AM-10:30AM--class got out early on the second class) at 10:45AM. My car also has no scratches or anything on it. Nothing on the fender, the doors, the side mirror, etc.
What exactly is going on?enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P

What kind of hit and run? Would there have been damage to the car? Did the police look at your vehicle and rule it out?
I was pulled over once because my car at the time (99 Acura 3.0 CL with 18" rims) resembled a car that was apparently involved in several crimes, involving convenience store robberies. They didn't get a match on the plate... just the make/model, and there weren't too many 99 Acura 3.0 CLs with 18" rims around here at the time.
After 3 visits from the police, they finally left me alone. I don't know if they caught the other guy or they just didn't have enough evidence to try to charge me. Either way... I was sweating.
The only thing I would be concerned about would be the license plate number. But even so, there are likely cars around town with a license number a digit or two off from yours. Just be cooperative with the police and things will likely go away. They are just doing their job.

So, the police aren't pressing charges. They aren't bothering to verify I'm in class. The reason is that all of the witnesses saw a black female driving my vehicle. There's also no damage to my car.
Hopefully that picture works even though it's on facebook, and I have my profile set to private. If you can't see it, the gist is that I'm very white looking with a beard.enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
