I have not shopped my insurance much. I insured my boat through travelers with an independant agent. He asked me if he could quote my home, life, auto, personal property etc. I told him sure, he asked who my current provider was and I told him USAA. He said never mind lol.
My only gripe is that USAA farms out their boat policies to progressive. That is why my boat is with travelers.
Again Laygo, they are not going to total your car so you can stop with the worries of losing anything.

Isn't the car still under the dealer insurance for 14 days? I know each state is different, but I know there is a lag time for when you are required to have your insurance kick in.

Yep, love USAA as well. They have always been great. I laugh at the commercials that say we can save you X amount a year on car insurance... I laugh because normally its about the same as what I pay for full coverage on two vehicles.
