Again, the "party" in Miami was a dick move by those three guys. I agree. However, "The Decision", was a media project. If someone came to me and wanted to do it, I think changing it to a charity event is pretty cool. Why not use something like that in your life to raise a couple million for kids, I won't fault him for the press conference.

If Dirk said Wade was faking the hip injury the media would blow it up just as much. As I said before there is a difference in trash talk, and in questioning a person's character publicly. Wade, the guy who needed a wheelchair for a SHOULDER injury, should just shut up and let his game talk.

The media would blow up, but the ESPN reporters wouldn't be bad mouthing Dirk. I listen to ESPN radio all day every day practically, and all I've heard from them is how terrible LeBron is.

And the fans sure as hell wouldn't be calling dirk classless if he did it. People just want to hate LeBron, because he's LeBron. The man never compared himself to Jordan, never boasts about how great he is, and never said he was the greatest ever....yet people say he's done all of the above the proceed to hate him for it.

Oh how soon we forget. Dirk was roasted for losing the '06 finals, THEN losing in the first round after having the best record in '07. Dirk only started getting respect this year in the playoffs. Many experts picked Portland to beat the Mavs.

As for LBJ if he, as expected, wins a few rings over the next several years then nobody will even care about this year, just like nobody cares about Jordan losing to the Celtics or Pistons. We are a society of what have you done for me lately.

Oh, and Dirk would get ripped, but luckily he has more class than to pull that crap.

I think it's different though. Dirk was never compared to Jordan. LBJ is constantly being compared to Jordan through no fault of his own, and I believe it is the sole reason that people dislike him so much.

See the Mavs are leading right now. Not that I care about them, or NBA that much (to be honest), but be happy to see both the Heat and OKC not win anything (well and the Lakers).
