They had better win the next two. If they go down 3-0 or 3-1, they are DONE.

Lakers are showing their age also. Everyone wants to see the likes of the Lakers and Celtics succeed, but truth is, as good as Kobe is and Pierce and company on the other side....they are just getting old. San Antonio is in the same boat. Teams like the Miami Heat will be the new big dog around town for the upcoming 6-7 years.

It's funny you say that, Miami is the oldest team in the league. I thought the same of Dallas. They have the oldest starting squad. After all these years they decided to play. The Thunder and the Grizzles are moving up. They have the youngest squads around.

It's no surprise that right now Miami is the team to beat with Chicago right behind. I can't see anyone from the west beating them. Dallas will fizzle out next round.

Celtic, Laker, and Spurs star players are all about to start collecting social security. Wade, Bosh and James, are prime. Believe me, I'm not the typical bandwaggoner jumping their jock b/c they have 2 of the best b-ball players on the planet, but they have to be the favorite for the next several years. Especially with Riley running the show behind the scenes.

Oklahoma city is legit, especially if they work the free agency market over like they did with the perkins trade.

I'm not buying memphis next year. I like they way they're playing now, but I'm callin it a fluke. Chicago are the cavs of last year (as Cowherd would say). It's rose and a bunch of replaceable players. Heat are the team to beat for the next several years in the East.

On a side note, I'd like to see the hornet's get a stud big man, but I'll doubt that'll happen....perhaps Dwight Howard will pull a James/Bosh and take his talents to the Big Easy??

okc is good but perkins is overrated. he aint that tough just acts like it... learned that from KG.

memphis will be good next year. top 6 in west. they've had the talent for awhile just needed confidence and some chemistry. also helps that Rudy Gay is out... too many starters on that team need the ball to be effective. mayo or gay should be traded this off-season.

bulls are good but they lack guard depth... rose/noah/boozer are great to build around.

    agree with heat...

who knows where dwight will go. i just dont see him staying in orlando. dont see cp3 staying in NO either.
dwight to nets. cp3 to knicks.

Memphis will def be top 6 next year, I just didn't think they'd be anywhere near the top 2-3.

Bulls during the regular season....I'm putting money on them...during the playoffs, I just don't trust them completely. Trouble with Indiana in the 1st round, then a short scare with Atlanta afterwards.

Perkins isn't anything particularly special, but defensively his value is high. Celtics were dumb to trade him. He's a big body that deters people like James, Rose, etc.. from driving freely through the lane without catching hard shots from the big bodies.

If I lived anywhere but Baton Rouge (NOLA), I would also think CP3 isn't staying. But listening to local media here and hearing the way he talks to the papers, he doesn't sound like he wants to leave. And unless some RIDICULOUS trade offer occurs, I believe he is staying. I love ESPN, but I think they are reporting CP3 to the knicks because it would make for a great story, not necessarily because they actually think he'll go.

Cowherd had an interesting theory. He said Jackson would stop coaching the Lakers this next year, wait for CP3 and Howard to hi FA, then come back the following year to coach, CP3, Howard and Kobe. Not sure if I believe this, but it's interesting enough.

    Point in Case

Deadspin, Sports News without Access, Favor, or Discretion

I mean, the man wore a yankees cap for Christ sake........I wish he'd do something ridiculous like wear a Manchester united jersey or something so ESPN can tweet about how he's going to play soccer in Europe next year.

Hell of a performance by Rondo. I just wonder how he's gonna feel come the next game. All that adrenaline pumping and doped up on pain killers, helped him in the heat of the moment. Be unfortunate for the Celtics if he can't play effectively.

    Go Mavericks
Can anyone say Dirk Nowitzki? The Wiener-Schnitzel Missile has his laser sights set on the LAkers. Kobe is so damn cocky. get em Dirk.
Shawn Marion is a defensive beast, an all around basketball player who can defend many positions.
Jason Terry is unguardable. He is an undersized 2 guard. his offensive prowess outweighs his size when defending taller guards, because sometimes kidd will slide to the 2 while terry defends the 1, on defensive side of the ball.
Tyson Chandler is underrated as all hell. he is giving the lakers fits.

Go Mavericks BABY. I predicted the HEat to win the title when the playoffs started and i hope im wrong. I hope the celts beat em.
