Another game Dirks takes over and wins. Kidd was great down the stretch and Marion had a great all around game. We won the game and were dead for about the first 43 minutes of the game.

Amazing performance, One of the best I've ever watched.

How is this guy not even considered in the MVP race....MVP stands for most valuable player....there is noone more valuable to their team than Dirk Nowitski

Dirk and Marion tear it up again. So clutch! And now I can watch the Phillies/Reds game, which started 1-2 hours before the Mavs game and is currently in inning 17... go Phils! They still have Cliff Lee as a relief pitcher/pinch hitter although it would depend on whether he felt like going another 9 innings or just blasting a homer on the first pitch they threw him.

Edit: 19th inning and they are putting the 2nd baseman (Valdez, never pitched in minors or majors) in as the pitcher! The old catcher, Carlos Ruiz is on 3rd and the 3rd baseman is over to 2nd. Ruiz just dove over the tarp after a foul ball. This is nuts. Valdez pops out the first guy, beans the second with the first pitch, and pops out the next two throwing 86 mph heat! Then the Phils load the bases and get a sac fly walkoff run! Holy crap...

This is simply amazing watch the MAVS. Dirk, Tyson and Kidd have elevated the game of the rest of the team. I remember back just before the playoffs started during the regular season the MAVS last 9 straight to playoff teams and I thought they were going to be one and done.

Somehow they just turned the switch on and I've never seen a player more focused than Dirk right now. Finally not only is he focused but the rest of the team is following. Dirk has elevated his game and the team's game to a level they have never been to.

Thinking about it, it's almost destiny awaiting. The potential match up of the 06 revenge against the HEAT and the road that the MAVS had to take to get here wasn't an easy one. We have to play the three teams in the Western Conference that no one wanted to play during the playoffs - Portland, Lakers, and OKC. All great teams with tough, athletic matchups for the MAVS. With the exception of one meltdown game vs Portland the MAVS have handled their opponents, playing great D and with offensive might.

While I do respect the HEAT and understand they have 2 of the best players in the league. I really feel the MAVS have a great shot. Outside of Wade and Lebron, I think the Heat will have a tough time matching up against the MAVS, especially our depth and our ability to score in transition and in the half court offense.

Not counting out the Bulls yet but very much looking forward to what I think will be a great finals. I think either team will be a great match and I'm going to predict MAVS in 7. I think it will be a long series either way with a lot of close games.

I dont think the heat can stop Dirk.....who do they have that can? The only question is..... can the mavs stop wade, lebron and bosh?

Dirk is on mission where it looks like he cant be stopped....you can only hope to contain him at this point.....i really think the x factor will be jj barea.....we all saw that he can take over games and the heat have an older bibby that will not be able to hold him....marion and stevenson will be huge defenders against the big 3

Yes, I'm guessing Carlisle will play a tight in zone, forcing Miami to shoot jump shots. If at least they make it difficult for Wade and Lebron, that will force Miami to use their other players to score which I believe they will struggle with.

Obviously Miami will try to make it difficult for Dirk, but the X factor is for us we have two great point gaurds who can create and make things happen, plus other scorers like Kidd, Barea,JT, Peja etc. who can shoot from the outside.

Dirk Nowitzki is a beast! The mavericks have such an exciting team. They are deep like the abyssal zone. every player on their roster is a shooter. I have heard that the heat might put lebron on dirk at some points during the game. That should be some exciting basketball. I really hope that Dallas size down low with chandler and haywood can create some opportunities for the mavs.

Chandler has to show up big for us. Chandler, i imagine will be tasked with guarding chris bosh. The mavs dont want dirk guarding bosh and getting into foul trouble. i imagine dirk will guard joel anthony or haslem when on defense.

Jason kidd has to keep his amazing defensive stretch going. jason kidd has been the unsung hero of the playoffs for the mavs because of his timely dfense. He has got so many key steals/stops/blocks during these playoffs. he guarded brandon roy, then kobe, then Kevin durant..... jason kidd is focused. his next task is dwayne wade.
